July Contribution to the Human Rights Campaign

What's a Hate State? There are 30 of them now: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin; the states that have homophobic so-called "Defense of Marriage" amendments to their state constitutions, passed by popular vote. Summary Statistics:

Although we started with U.S. pools only, we now have 12,957 listings in 166 other countries, 69% of the total.

Among the listings, there are 1,614 hotels with on-site pools and another 485 listings are clubs, YMCAs, and other types of facility with discounted access available to guests registered at one or more nearby hotels.
