|This is a great facility for kids, as there is a lazy river and several large slides. The outdoor pool has no lap swimming. It is the home pool for Plano West Senior High.
|This is a very nice, comprehensive fitness and wellness center associated with Texas Health and operated by the City of Plano. Pool is as advertised, competition grade, 3 ft – 12 ft deep, 8 lanes. There are two 1m diving boards (and the business end of one of those Habitrail-looking water slides drops into the deep end!). There is an electronic pace clock; buoys, boards, and fins are available for use. Nice locker room, bring your own lock. Banners indicated this is the home pool for Plano West High School so check the schedule during the school swimming season. I was there at about 10 AM on a weekday and surprisingly every lane was in use, but not crowded (one or two swimmers per lane) and good lane etiquette was displayed. Adjoining next door is a free-form splash/fun pool, with a big slide and such. Entry fee is $6.00; photo ID required. [December, 2015]
