Facility Reviews
By far the best pool I've found for out-of-towners in NY. Pool 1 appears to always be open and dedicated to lap swimmers.
Rating: 6 out of 10. Cool, narrow, crowded, best late at night or mid-afternoon for laps.
Its one drawback is that it gets verycrowded at peak times. As a New Yorker, I can say it is one of the best run lap swimming facilities in the city. The lanes are speed-graded by posted times, the temp is 80-81º, and the pool is open for laps all day. I'd give it an 8 or 9.
