Facility Notes
*When the 50m pool is divided into two 25m tanks, two lanes on the shallower side are reserved for water walking.
Hours are 9 AM - 9 PM. The pool is closed on Tuesdays and the 4th Wednesday of the month, except for holidays, in which case it is closed the day after.
Swim caps are required. Bringing your own equipment to the pool (other than goggles) is prohibited, but there is a limited supply of kickboards and pull-buoys available at the pool for no additional charge.
Facility Reviews
Non-English speaking front desk personnel were very nice, explaining via gestures how to purchase a ticket for two hours from a machine for the advertised price. The locker rooms are clean; there is a ¥30 charge to use a locker (change machine in locker room). Standard showering before entering pool. Sauna and showers after the swim are also clean. The water is slightly warmer than desirable for competitive swimmers - but not in the "Too warm to do anything" range of other pools in Japan. The deep end of the pool (which was split into two 25m tanks) had less traffic than shallow end, with mostly a much older group in the water from 9 - 11 AM on the day I visited. [March, 2014]
