Facility Notes
The pool is divided into two single "slow" lanes (down one, duck under the rope, back in the other), a two-lane undivided "fast" section with plenty of space for passing in the middle, and another double-wide "free" area. Kickboards and pool toys can be used only in the 3rd section, which is also used for water walking, etc.
Caps are required, jewelery (including smart watches) is not permitted. As with most Japanese pools, tattoos must be covered. Lockers require a refundable ¥100 coin.
All signage at the pool is in both English and Japanese.
There is also a 50m, 8 lane, outdoor, seasonal pool at this location. Admission fees for the outdoor pool are somewhat lower than for the indoor pool.
Facility Reviews
The indoor pool was crowded, but if you get in the correct lane with people your speed, you can still get in a good swim workout. There's also an outdoor 50m pool that's open in the summer. I understand they do rope off some of it for lap swimming.
I have been swimming here several times a week for the past couple of months and the pool, facilities, and staff are all very good. If you get to the indoor pool before 17:00 in the summer, there are not very many people so it's great for laps. Even before the outdoor pool was open, the lap lanes in the indoor pool were never so crowded during the week that you couldn't get a good swim in. (I haven't been much on weekends.) Both pools are great - very clean and well-cared for.
