Facility Reviews
The pool is clean and well maintained and there are kickboards available for use. Showers are warm and they have suit spin dryer. During the week, the 25-meter lap pools tend to be busy, while the 50-meter pool is not. People are friendly; it is almost entirely Japanese clientele who swim there - use your best manners. No watches of water bottles are allowed in the water and the guards will politely ask you to hand them over if you get past the pool attendants.
This is an excellent 50m indoor pool for lap swimming. There are actually a few different pools at this facility, the 50m pool, a 25m pool, and a kids' pool. The pool was great; the temperature was perfect; the water was spotless; and there were only one or two people per lane. Everyone was circle swimming (staying on the right side) and the staff were helpful.
Swim caps are required, and water bottles can be placed on the chairs by the wall, but not next to the pool.
Overall, it's an excellent place to swim!
The locker rooms have lockers available for a refundable ¥100. After showering, it’s a long and somewhat unpleasant walk on the rough floor to get to the 50m pool in the adjacent building.
Like other pools in Japan, you’re required to remove your shoes before entering the building. You purchase your ticket at the vending machine by the front door (cash only) and are allowed to swim for up to two hours. The front desk will stamp your ticket and you return it to them upon leaving.
It’s close to the main tourist part of the city but also conveniently located off several bus/tram lines.
