Centro Deportivo San Pablo

Important Notice Please Read

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times or when Senior Aerobics classes are held; we cannot tell you about the availability or cost of swimming lessons; we cannot get you discounted admission to swim at any of them; and we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their admission policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites and Facebook pages, clickable email addresses, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in the site is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editor becomes aware of a change, but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about seven years to complete; in many places, prices will change four or five times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. (No, it's not a place for you to ask us questions. What we have in each listing is the latest news we have.)

Also, please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with the area and visiting for the first time. Just go to the Add a Pool section of the site, read the first page, then fill out the questionnaire.

Facility Notes

We dislike including pool schedule information in our listings but, since this pool's web page has been set in a format that cannot be translated (either as a page or by copying the Spanish text), we're going to make an exception. At the bottom of the pool's page, on the line captioned NATATIÓN LIBRE the pool's schedule is written (in Spanish)

NATATIÓN LIBRE
De lunes a viernes: de 7:30 a 23:00 (de 16:00 a 20:00 limitado a familiares directos de alumnos cursillistas)
Sabado: de 9:00 a 14:00
Domingo: de 10:00 a 14:00

This translates to English as:

NON-INSTRUCTIONAL SWIMMING SESSIONS
Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM to 11 PM (from 4 to 8 PM limited to family members of students taking courses)
Saturday: 9 AM to 2 PM
Sunday: 10 AM to 2 PM

This is the schedule shown online in early July, 2017. It will almost certainly change but, by giving both the original Spanish and the English translation, we hope that users will be able to figure out any future variations so they won't be inconvenienced as our June, 2017 reviewer was.
There is also a 50m x 25m, 8 lanes, 1.8m - 2.5m depth, outdoor pool at this location, but we understand that it has been closed for years. ¡Que lástima!

Facility Reviews

The pool and facility are clean and bright. The pool temperature is okay, slightly on the warm side. Training devices are available poolside. The lanes are speed marked, but most decidedly NOT enforced, which makes the place a bit of a free-for-all and chaotic. The lanes are slightly narrow. The pool was quite busy at 11 AM on a Sunday. The hours listed on the website in April 2015 are for the indoor lap pool. There is also a 25m, outdoor, saltwater pool and a recreational pool. No cash is accepted for entrance, cards only. Small locks are available to borrow at reception.
[April, 2015]
Lanes available for lap swimming vary by day and time day, with only one available during the time I was there (Tuesday, 9:30 to 11:30 AM). Circle swimming etiquette was not well observed. The water temperature was OK, but a bit on the warm side. Decent locker rooms and showers but bring a towel.
[June, 2016]
I went on a weekday, and I was told that there are only children's classes from 4 to 8 PM, so I was not able to go in.
