Facility Notes
The pool closed abruptly on January 11, 2022. The reason cited was:
"'As part of regular monitoring of metropolitan facilities, it was communicated today to the Métropole du Grand Nancy, that the Gentilly Olympic swimming pool showed signs of fragility on the supporting pillars of the building , built in 1971. ', explains the entity which manages several swimming pools in the metropolis."

Facility Reviews
Pros: Gentilly is the largest place for swimming around Nancy. It was totally renewed in 1997 and has comfortable showers and dressing room; with wide windows on the south side it is very bright. It closes at 8 or 9 PM weeknights (except Wed.) sothe hours are convenient.
Cons: On Tuesdays and Thursdays, four lanes are occupied by swimming clubs, and the others can get crowded, especially with students, but generally you can swim. The best times are Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
