Facility Reviews
Immaculate and hardly any lap swimmers, three lanes blocked off and a handful of kids using the rec side of the pool. It's an LA city pool so a steal at the city's going rate.
Now that this relatively new facility [built six or seven years ago] is a few years older, the infrastructure is showing signs of wear and tear. Since it is literally on the campus of a K-12 Magnet school, you have to park off-site, enter the school gates, cross a large outdoor seating area, and enter the pool-gym complex toward the rear of the property. Sometimes pool access is limited by home basketball games in the adjacent gym. There is a youth swim team that takes up half the lanes, and the schedule has been reduced to three, short, evening sessions during the week. The water is heavily chlorinated. This used to be a great place to swim, now it's just okay. There are usually no more than two or three people per lane and temperature is OK, not too warm. It's a good backup in case other nearby pools (West Hollywood, Culver City) are unavailable.
