Facility Reviews
Outstanding; for a public facility, you can't beat this one.
Coin operated lockers - open only once for your 50¢. Also has a walking pool, a kiddy pool, and a large hot tub. It closes for meets, call to be sure it's open. A busy facility, it could be cleaner - but considering the load, they do a good job.
Clean locker/shower room and friendly staff. Best times are mid/late morning, and after 8 PM. At 7 PM I had a lane to myself and really enjoyed it!
I discovered this hidden gem by accident on a work trip to the area. It is a superb 50m facility set up SCY and deserted at 6 AM. It's relatively new, clean, has good circulation that makes the air quite breathable and nice lockers.
The measured water temperature was 83.1ºF, a little warm, but considering most public pools in the area are at least 84ºF this temperature is just fine.
Highly recommend!

I really like this pool, it's a favorite in the northeast Washington Metro area; the locker room isn't ideal, but the pool is. It's usually closer to 81ºF than the 83.1º mentioned in an earlier review.
But avoid the hours between 4 and 6:30 PM, as there are fewer lanes due to swim teams. And, unfortunately, the pool will often close over three to four-day weekends for large competitions and it was also closed for a month for maintenance earlier in September. (They are good about posting closures on website.)
