Facility Notes
In addition to the indoor pools, there is also a 50m x 25m, 10 lane, 1.6m - 3.3m depth, outdoor pool kept at 26.5ºC (79.7ºF) that's open in summer.
The indoor pools are open from mid-September to mid-June.
There is also a 14m x6m, 0.6m depth, 30°C (86°F) indoor training pool and indoor and outdoor children's pools.
The pool hosted the 1994 World Cup. Alexander Popov set a 50m world record of 21.50 sec. in this pool.
NOTE: Expect a closure for renovations by or before the end of 2023; see THIS ARTICLE.
Facility Reviews
This is a fantastic facility! In the summer they open the outdoor 50-meter, 8-lane pool, which has lots of room. Around the first week of September, they switch to the 25-meter indoor pool, which is just fine and, in my experience, has never been crowded.
As with most pools in Italy, bring a bathing cap and your own towel (and lock if you want one). The staff is very friendly and happy to speak English!
The pool is a walkable distance from the ferry dock or train station (about 20 minutes from each) or you can grab the #2 bus from either.
