Important Notice Please Read - CLICK HERE

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the more than 20,000+ facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times; we cannot tell you about the availability and cost of swimming lessons; we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their access policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include email addresses and hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in each listing is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editors become aware of a change but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about three years to complete; in many places, prices will change two or three times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. Please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with your area and visiting for the first time.

To our English users: For reasons described in the FAQ, county names shown the listings in England are the cities' and towns' historic counties, not necessarily the counties they are assigned to now.

Facility Reviews

The pool can get very crowded and so is often not good for fast swimmers.
It’s nice, but the lane lines are ropes with small floats, so it’s choppy and often crooked. The pace is very slow and not always in circles - a free-for-all, but it’sbetter than a hotel pool. Hours 6:30 A.M. to 10 P.M. No boards etc. available. The dive well (90ºF!) was off limits when I was there. The lockers are nice and you can use your own lock, but wear sandals and shower back in your hotel.
You need an Octopus Card to pay the pool admission fee. Bring an HKD 5.00 coin to operate the locker. The coin is returned after use.
I was there at around 8 AM on a Thursday. If the lanes had been organized and people had swum in a circular pattern, the pool could easily have accommodated all the people in the pool. As it was, I couldn't get a good swim in and I stopped after 400 meters. You always need to look ahead for other people. It's a real pity because the facilities are nice. They really need to organize the lanes and teach people to do circular swimming. [September, 2014]
I arrived here at 9 AM on a Monday and the place was packed. The main pool had two lanes closed for private sessions, there were two or three "circle swim" lanes with 15+ people each, and the rest of the pool was one giant "lane" with lots of elderly people milling about. The water was a bit too warm (well over 80ºF. [27ºC.]); the smaller 25m, training pool and dive well were both closed. The second 25m pool on the lower level is apparently reserved for the elderly and people with disabilities. Getting in a serious workout here it is near impossible, at least in the mornings. No spinners for drying your swimsuit. Bring a plastic bag, towel, flip flops and a $5 coin for the lockers. [February, 2015]
