Facility Notes
This is the largest swimming pool in Finland; it opened in May, 1999 and hosted the European Championships in 2000. It is expected there will be maintenance closings for some weeks in summer.
We're told the best time to swim is during office hours when there's ample space for lap swimming (three to five swimmers per lane). It's often crowded evenings and weekends.

Facility Reviews
It is the largest, newest and best public swimming pool in Finland.
A superb facility!
There are different lanes for fast and slow swimmers and a separate lane for water running. There are two smaller pools for children, a Jacuzzi, hot and mild saunas, and a steam room. Everything is included in the fee. Definitely recommended!
Saunas and showers are perfect, BUT there is no chance for independent training or laps. Half of the pool is taken by teams - the rest is really crowded.
Very good pool. Wide lanes. 50m but about 15m of them at a depth of not more than 1.7m the day I was there. Respectful swimmers. Not too many people over lunch time (around 12:30 PM). I was not impressed by the cleanness of the water, noticing some UFOs at the bottom. The showers were well kept. Bring your own towel and gel. [September, 2013]
