Facility Reviews
Didn’t swim any laps here, but it has great indoor/outdoor play zones for all age kids + adults. Great tube slides, wave pool, assorted sprayers, typical Dutch snack bar. Attached to a major water-sports training center.
I cannot fault this pool; it’s beautiful and has 50-metre lanes available every day. There’s a schedule of session times and pools on the website.
The competition pool is available every weekday from 7AM (the turnstile opens at 6:55:45 AM... I am not kidding....). On weekends swimming is typically available only in the training pool, at set times.
There is a fast lane but the lifeguards don’t enforce it - it’s mainly down to swimmers being sensible. But it has decent width lanes, so it isn’t a problem. Afternoons are busy with sessions available only in the diving well, as the pools are overtaken with squads.
The facilities are clean, with communal showers just off the pool. There are lockers available, but most people just leave their clothes in the changing rooms (a corridor of about 16 rooms that alternate male, female [and sometimes there is a sign on the door saying if the room is allocated to a club or the public]), and take their bags poolside. There is plenty of bike parking, naturally, and there is a carpark just beyond the pool. (At the moment there is a CORONA Testing Station in the carpark, too).
