Important Notice Please Read

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times or when Senior Aerobics classes are held; we cannot tell you about the availability or cost of swimming lessons; we cannot get you discounted admission to swim at any of them; and we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their admission policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites and Facebook pages, clickable email addresses, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in the site is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editor becomes aware of a change, but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about seven years to complete; in many places, prices will change four or five times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. (No, it's not a place for you to ask us questions. What we have in each listing is the latest news we have.)

Also, please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with the area and visiting for the first time. Just go to the Add a Pool section of the site, read the first page, then fill out the questionnaire.

Facility Reviews

The best swimming in the Coachella Valley!
The water is clean and the temperature is good. Parking is plentiful but distant.
They change the hours with little warning; the priority is definitely the high school and club swim teams, who tend to take over the pool leaving only a few lanes for the rest of us.
Awesome swim facility for triathletes on vacation in Palm Springs! Long course (50m) is from 7 - 9 AM only, so if you want to get a long course workout, get there early. Kick boards and pull boys can be rented for just $3.00, so there's no reason not to have the best swim workout ever while on vacation in sunny Palm Springs! :)

The water is on the hot side if you're doing much distance.
Most able-bodied swimmers should be able to handle the short walk to/from the car easily. It's shorter than parking at the grocery store!

Plentiful, empty, four-foot deep lanes at 4 PM on a Saturday. It's a beautiful, clean pool, 81º - 82ºF. (27º - 25ºC), with a gorgeous view of snow-dusted mountains and well-kept landscaping. The equipment is not free to use, you gotta rent it. The locker room has an open roof under the palm trees; bring your own lock. Easy parking in a lot right out front, I can't imagine how it could be any closer.

I visited here on a Friday morning in September, 2015. The facility is nice and staff is friendly. The pool was set up as 15+ 25 yard lanes. I had my own lane, but each lane was filled by 6:00 AM. When I asked the lifeguard where I should swim when I arrived at opening, his answer indicated that the lane grab is a free-for-all. While the pool was nice and clean and a decent temperature at 82ºF., it was very hard to see for the first 45 minutes of the swim, as there was almost no lighting on the pool deck and it was before sunrise. I couldn't read my watch and there was no pace clock. Having said all of this, it's a great pool if you are visiting the area.

It's a nice, outdoor, olympic pool. 50m lanes are set up Saturday mornings from 7 - 8:45 AM.
[October, 2016]
This pool is very nice. I had it virtually to myself on a Saturday morning around 9:30, save for a lifeguarding class that didn't infringe on the still ample lap swimming area.

The changing area is complete: lockers, showers, toilets, sinks, though it's a bit rustic, being essentially outdoors. And it's not practical for the few days that it rains here. Bring a lock if you want a secure place for your things.

This pool is great for lap swimming - if you like overly warm water. I do not. They accommodate a minority of vocal elderly snowbirds over the wishes of serious lap swimming residents who want regulation lap swimming temperatures.

I trained at this pool for a week in April of 2022. They were still on a reservation system from 7 AM to 1 PM and then it is wide open from 1 to 3 PM. I swam in the open hours for a few days and then was able to start booking the one-hour reservations. It's a great pool and I had a great week training there. I will definitely visit again.

This is a great facility. When set up for 25-yard laps, there are almost 20 lanes. They aren't currently changing to 50 meters on certain days. From 7 to 11 AM, you can reserve a lane on their website. After that, until 3 PM, it is drop-in and very open. It was never crowded on any of the days I was there. Sundays, they open at 8 AM.
