Facility Reviews
This pool has recently re-opened after a refurbishment. The pool itself seems unchanged but the changing rooms are new and the showering arrangements allow more privacy than before. The poolside steam and sauna have been replaced.

[November, 2013]
The pool has reopened after the Covid-19 lockdown closure. One has to book online and the staff on 131 458 2100 were very helpful when I was defeated by the system. I booked for a 45 minute swim in the late morning. We were kept outside the building until very close to the time when we checked in at the reception desk or by membership card reader. The changing room is of the mixed-sex village kind. The lockers are still in operation and take a returnable £1 coin. The pool has eight lanes which are divided into four double lanes marked fast (1 set), medium (2 sets), and slow (1 set). The fast lane is partly obstructed by a staircase. At the late morning session there were only two or three people in each section so we didn't really see how well it works with the permitted ten. Overtaking is to be at the end of the lane. The requirement to get out if you stop swimming was not enforced nor the instruction to come dressed ready to swim.
