Important Notice Please Read - CLICK HERE

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the more than 20,000+ facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times; we cannot tell you about the availability and cost of swimming lessons; we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their access policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include email addresses and hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in each listing is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editors become aware of a change but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about three years to complete; in many places, prices will change two or three times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. Please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with your area and visiting for the first time.

To our English users: For reasons described in the FAQ, county names shown the listings in England are the cities' and towns' historic counties, not necessarily the counties they are assigned to now.

Facility Reviews

An excellent pool and mostly not so busy. Although the listing says the pool is only 25m long, I believe it is longer than that - it may be 30-33m long based on a very crude method of measurement.I don't know how bad the pool is during summer but in November and December it’s really easy to get a lane.
The pool is definitely 25 metres. The lane swimming did not appear to be managed (i.e., fast, medium, slow, etc.), but when I visited, there were more lanes than swimmers, so that was no problem. There was a separate area for learners. Check out the timetable on the web link to find when lap swimming is available (I got lucky). The pool facility is quite old, but has been refurbished and is in good repair, and the water quality appeared excellent. Showers were good (and hot). You should bring a small padlock if you want to lock up your possessions in the changing room. Alternatively, there are pegs at poolside that you can hang your valuables on to keep an eye on them. The staff were very welcoming - definitely a good find if swimming is your exercise and you're visiting Houston.
