Frei- und Hallenbad Kleinfeldchen

Important Notice Please Read - CLICK HERE

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the more than 20,000+ facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times; we cannot tell you about the availability and cost of swimming lessons; we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their access policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include email addresses and hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in each listing is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editors become aware of a change but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about three years to complete; in many places, prices will change two or three times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. Please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with your area and visiting for the first time.

To our English users: For reasons described in the FAQ, county names shown the listings in England are the cities' and towns' historic counties, not necessarily the counties they are assigned to now.

Facility Notes

There is also a 50m x 18m, 7 lane, outdoor, seasonal pool at this location.
There's no mention of the second 25m pool on the facility's website and we'd never have found out about it, except for an aside from a listing update and review received in September, 2014. At first we were doubtful, but the official website says there are 1,003 square meters of indoor pool at this facility and that requires a second 25m x 17m tank!
There's a second layer of mystery for this listing: Included among the photographs of the facility associated with the Google Maps map (see the "Targeted Google Map Link", above) there's one that shows a 1m diving board and a 3m diving board, neither of which is included in the official Website's inventory of equipment, either. We haven't included them in our listing, because Google doesn't do a very good job of policing users' photo uploads and it's entirely possible that some fool has uploaded a picture of an entirely different facility to this Google Map.

Facility Reviews

It's nice and OK, but I prefer Hallenbad ESWE because of its 50m pool. Depending on the weather, the outdoor pools here can get very cold.
Single locker room, women (nuh fur damen) and family sections designated by signage in the locker room - enter the pool area through the showers. Hair dryers available. Lockers can be rented (~€0.20). Lap lanes were set up, but large lanes with counterclockwise swimming in the center of the pool were set up for swimmers doing a workout.
Overall it is a nice facility. I swam there on a Thursday evening and it was quite crowded and not very organized. Only half of the pool had lane lines (extra wide lanes) and other half was open with many people (mostly novice swimmers) randomly swimming about.
