Facility Reviews
The facilities are neat and tidy. I understand that the outdoor pool remains open during winter and can be accessed via a water tunnel from the inside (clever bit). Both indoor 25 m pool and 50m pool have lanes for swimmers according to speed or whether you use palms. There is a small free car park. The facility can be busy on Wednesdays, week ends and school holidays but unusually there is space for everyone. Unfortunately, it closes during lunchtime (12 to 2 pm) but still I highly recommend it.
This is an excellent pool - outdoors and year-round. The pool is kept at a comfortable temperature and is entered from indoors, so you can go right into the water. Pull-buoys and kickboards are available. Bring your own towel, but there's no need to bring a lock; the changing room lockers have a lock mechanism in-built. The facility is well maintained with an active local lap swim community. We swam in mid-March and it was great!
