To be admitted to an municipal pool in Athens, on the first visit you need:
Copies of medical certificates from Public Doctors or State hospitals must be validated by a competent official. Copies of medical certificates from private doctors or diagnostic centers require certification by a lawyer. Validated and translated medical papers from other EU countries are accepted. Translated medical papers from non-EU countries are not accepted.[September, 2018].
A pool pass from another Greek municipality may be accepted, but that isn't guaranteed.
- A recent certification from a physician or cardiologist (in Greek) attesting to your health and ability to exercise;
- A recent certification from a dermatologist (in Greek) attesting to your lack of infectious skin disease;
- Two photos (one for the pool's records and one for the ID card that will be issued to you);
- €5.00 for the ID card fee.
- A passport or identity card.
