Important Notice Please Read - CLICK HERE

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the more than 20,000+ facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times; we cannot tell you about the availability and cost of swimming lessons; we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their access policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include email addresses and hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in each listing is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editors become aware of a change but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about three years to complete; in many places, prices will change two or three times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. Please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with your area and visiting for the first time.

To our English users: For reasons described in the FAQ, county names shown the listings in England are the cities' and towns' historic counties, not necessarily the counties they are assigned to now.

Facility Notes

Swim caps are required, but are not available for sale at the pool. Bring your own.

There is also a smaller pool next to the main pool. Bring €1 for locker (returned after use). Shower facilities are separate from locker rooms and across from the door that leads to pool area.
NOTE: In September, 2015, we received a note from a resident of the area saying that the pool has not been open to the public during the summer months for the past five years and that the summer schedule on the local sports authority's website may refer to a public pool near the local health centre, which can be seen on the map HERE. Unfortunately, we were unable to find out anything about that pool and our enquiries to the IMD went unanswered. This is a situation where a call in advance is especially well advised.
In December, 2018, while reviewing the listing, we noted that the pool's web page indicated that the pool had been closed on April 20, 2018, but its scheduled October reopening had not taken place due to a number of technical/safety defects. Judging from that page ("Website", above), it appears that this pool will not be reopened at any time in the near future.

Facility Reviews

This pool is fine for lap swimming, but only if you show up early in the morning, like 8 or 9 AM. The water temperature is a little on the warm side for serious lap swimming/practise, but ok. The best time for lap swimming is definitely early in the morning, when the pool opens. Staff is friendly and helpful, but some of them have a poor knowledge of English. Yet they try hard : )
