Parque Austral S.A.

Important Notice Please Read - CLICK HERE

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the more than 20,000+ facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times; we cannot tell you about the availability and cost of swimming lessons; we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their access policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include email addresses and hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in each listing is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editors become aware of a change but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about three years to complete; in many places, prices will change two or three times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. Please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with your area and visiting for the first time.

To our English users: For reasons described in the FAQ, county names shown the listings in England are the cities' and towns' historic counties, not necessarily the counties they are assigned to now.

Facility Reviews

The only swimming pool with public access anywhere in the region. The club is a bit run down, but the pool, itself, is usually clean, tho’ sometimes on the warm side. Swim caps are required. Lap etiquette is not well understood. Wear flip-flops. Staff are very friendly and will help foreigners with the registration process.
The changing rooms have been renovated and there has been a big improvement in overall cleanliness.

If staying in the area for more than three days, significant savings can be made by purchasing a multi-visit pass.

The pool has irregular opening hours, which you can see in Horario de actividades on the Parque Austral website (some scrolling for pool times may be required). The best times to swim and have a lane to yourself are at opening times of 11 AM on Saturday and 10 AM on Sunday or the fist hour after afternoon openings on weekdays. Very relaxed atmosphere - my only complaint is that sometimes the lifeguards play very loud music!
