Facility Reviews
It's the only place in town to swim a full 50 meters, since the bulkhead at the Harry Bailey seems to be permanently splitting the pool in two. The pool staff are not particularly friendly, but they do their jobs adequately. Locker rooms are an awkward design, but there's a separate changing room for families, so fewer small children running around. It's convenient for the west side of town.
A really nice Olympic-level pool. There was hardly anyone there during the day, when I visited. The pool was setup with bulkheads as three, separate, 25m swim areas. No lane lines were deployed. I had a whole section to myself.
School groups use the recreation pool adjacent to the competition pool. Huge hot tub. The facility is co-located with a high school, so watch out for erratic driving in the parking lot and in the vicinity.
The Shaw Center is a five-minute drive from airport hotels.
Inexpensive coffee, breakfast, and lunch can be had at the cafe in the lobby.
