Facility Reviews
This is the newest and best pool in The Hague. It opened at the end of 2012 and has a 50 meter competition pool. For lap swimming it can be tricky to find the times, as they change depending on the day of the week: Monday and Friday they have the 50 meter pool open for laps at lunchtime, 12:00 to 13:00, but other days it can be 09:30 to 11:00 or in the evening. Check the website for the times, though it's in Dutch, it's not hard to figure out (lap swimming is called Banenzwemmen).
The pool management doesn't impose any control over speeds in the lanes, so it can be a bit chaotic with slower swimmers mixing in with faster swimmers. Overall though, it works pretty well.
Being a new facility, it is very modern, clean, and well-lit. No pool toys are available, so bring your own kick-board, pull buoy, etc.
