Facility Reviews
Access to the pool requires a bit of work. First email Camana Bay Sports Concierge at cbsc@camanabay.com to let them know you'd like to swim there. They'll give you details on a swim pass and send waiver documents to sign. The swim pass they offered me was for five, one-hour hour swims at CI$30 (~US$36.60). Then stop by their office just north of the pool to pick up a key fob to get through the pool's main gate. Lap swim hours vary from month to month but they'll provide a schedule.
The pool is very nice - on par with any new outdoor pool in the US. The locker room and bathroom facilities are more than adequate. The only negative I found was that there were no showers other than on deck. The water temperature was quite warm the week I was there (~86ºF). I don't think they have a chiller to cool the water during the really warm summer months. Pull buoys are available for use but kick boards were hard to find. There were no life guards on duty but most of my morning swims were at times when the age group team was there with a coach on deck. I never had to share a lane.
