Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the more than 20,000+ facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times; we cannot tell you about the availability and cost of swimming lessons; we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.
We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their access policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include email addresses and hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.
The data in each listing is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editors become aware of a change but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about three years to complete; in many places, prices will change two or three times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.
For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. Please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with your area and visiting for the first time.
To our English users: For reasons described in the FAQ, county names shown the listings in England are the cities' and towns' historic counties, not necessarily the counties they are assigned to now.
Adult Admission Price & Policy
Note: Admission policies and prices shown in Swimmers Guide listings are believed to be correct as of the date(s) shown in brackets. If not correct now, please click on the "Edit" button so this listing can be fixed and the information brought current. This site works best when its users take an active role in the maintenance of the data.
It's a nice pool and a decent locker room. They keep three, wide lanes open all the time for lap swimmers. It can easily accommodate six swimmers. Just a 15 min walk from the heart of the French Quarter.
Bring your own towel and lock. My standard Master Lock was too big to fit through the hasps on the lockers, so a smaller lock is needed. They would not let me leave my clothes on the pool deck, but a friendly member of the staff loaned me a personal lock.
A word of caution: New Orleans neighborhoods are spotty. One block is perfectly safe and the next is not. The other side of Rampart Street from the French Quarter used to be a “no-go” zone for non-locals, so I asked the concierge at the hotel if I should walk there and they told me to take a taxi and definitely not to walk there after dark.
