Facility Notes
To purchase a pass for the pool, you have to register at the Oficina Electrónica on the pool's website. The registration form is pretty straightforward, though an understanding of Spanish is definitely needed. We went through the process as an experiment. The form requires a "DNI Number" from a Spanish National Identity Card - we used our US Passport Number. It also requires a telephone number, but will accept only nine-digit numbers (the standard phone number length in Spain, without spaces) and the birth date had to go in DD/MM/YYYY, instead of the MM/DD/YY format used in the US. Finally, you'll need to know your nationality in Spanish (US is Estadounidense). Lastly, in addition to filling out the address and other fields, you'll need a personal photograph in .jpg or .bmp format with a maximum file size of 32 Kb. If everything works properly, you should be able to pick up your user card at the pool and then you'll be able to load it online with your credit card.
This all may seem to be a lot of work, but it beats the pants off the old system, which required a visit to the pool and a bank, before you could go back to the pool and get into the water. [March, 2018]
