Facility Reviews
This is by far the most beautiful pool I have ever seen. Evidence of having been designed by a talented architect abounds. Her name merits mention: Sigríður Sigþórsdóttir. The decorative fragments of basalt columns pick up the structure of the concrete building in their resemblance to the vertical boards used to mold the concrete. The changing rooms are also very beautiful.
There are no backstroke flags. A swim cap is not required. There are no stated rules regarding permissible swimwear.
One can rent swimsuits, towels, etc. for non-trivial prices.
The usual Icelandic pool shower rules apply: nudity is expected and the use of plenty of soap in relevant areas is expected prior to donning one’s suit and entering the pool.
