Facility Notes
NOTE: The Club Med is closed from the beginning of January through mid-April.
The "default" entry for hotel pools on Swimmers Guide is "Single-swim admission is not available to members of the general public, unless registered as guests at the hotel." We know of at least one Club Med property that does sell day-passes (that include meals, snacks, and beverages and are a good bit pricier than your average pool's) so, if you're in the area, you might want to check whether this property also offers non-guest admissions. (if you find out, either way, please click on the Edit button to the right to let us know.)
Facility Reviews
This is a a large pool with a shallow/kids zone separated from the lap lanes by a subsurface 'causeway' and a semi circular leisure section of deeper water contiguous to the lanes. The lap lanes have stripes, but no targets, and I didn't see any lane ropes, but the pool drains so well that turbulence wasn't much of an issue. Swimmers were pretty respectful of your space. Pool hours are 9 AM to 6 PM daily, when guards are on duty.
The water was very clean, a great temperature, and the pool is super-convenient - assuming you're staying in the hotel. There were no lane ropes, but there's plenty of room for training or laps, albeit I was there in October, not the August high-season. Bring your own gear - I did not even see a kickboard. Glorious sun and views.
This place is so far out of the way I don't think there is much, if any daily traffic if it is permitted. There is a public golf course attached, so maybe golfers have some privileges, but I don't know.
