Important Notice Please Read - CLICK HERE

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the more than 20,000+ facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times; we cannot tell you about the availability and cost of swimming lessons; we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their access policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include email addresses and hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in each listing is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editors become aware of a change but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about three years to complete; in many places, prices will change two or three times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. Please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with your area and visiting for the first time.

To our English users: For reasons described in the FAQ, county names shown the listings in England are the cities' and towns' historic counties, not necessarily the counties they are assigned to now.

Facility Notes

The pool is closed Thursdays 9 AM - 7 PM, year-round for cleaning.
From 5 to 8 AM, the pool is unguarded. The guards work from 8 AM to 9 PM from late April through September, 8 AM to 8 PM through October, and 8 AM to 6 PM through February. The pool closes the first week of March, then guards work from 8 AM to 8 PM until late April.
Swimming is free until 9 AM, when the pool is cleared and admission is charged. After 9 PM until closing at 10 PM it's free again. Lap swimming may be difficult after 10 AM in summer.
We had the pool listed as being 1/8 mile (660 feet or 201 meters) long from when we first listed the pool until September, 2017, when we measured it using a Google Maps measurement tool and found that it was just 475 feet (~145 meters) long, measuring along the north side of the pool from a point roughly parallel to the Austin B-cycle Station on the west to the far wall to the east.

Facility Reviews

Quite a treat! It is more like a lake than a pool; it is fed by springs and has a dam with run-off at one end. The water is very clear and has a rock/mud bottom with plants and some small fish. Great swimming.
A wonderful pool for lap swims, especially in the morning before the crowds arrive. The water averages a brisk 68º year-round (brace yourself after a heavy rain, it'll be much colder). A great alternative to the highly chlorinated neighborhood pool.
I recently enjoyed three early morning swims here; I just wish I'd brought untinted goggles. Before dawn, at least, it's tough to spot the other simmers in the pool and there are no lane markers.
