During a routine end-of-year maintenance closure it was determined that the filters were approaching the end of their useful lives earlier than had been anticipated and that, due to the complexity of the work to be done, the closure needed to be extended a further three months. [January, 2024

Rating: 6 on a scale of 10. Unusual grotto effect of dark blue floor and ceiling. Cool water, reasonable lane discipline.
Probably the best pool in London for out-of-town swimmers. It's 25m all laned off, floats readily available. The pool is a dark at first and it takes time to adjust to the low lighting effect. The best times to swim are 10 AM to noon and 2 to 5 PM, when the office workers are back in their offices.
Apart from the water temperature, a lovely pool.

The pool is now brightly lit at all times and the water temperature was 83ºF (28ºC). The pool is very busy after working hours, but quite open through the day. I'd give an 8 on a scale of 10.

The fast lanes are routinely booked-out to commercial entities during peak times and timetables are rarely accurate - frustrating! Slower speed-designated lanes are usually wider than the faster lanes.
Swimmers here demonstrate generally good lane discipline, except for guests from the hotel upstairs who can cause chaos, but permanent lifeguards keep swimmers’ etiquette in check (casual lifeguards are often oblivious to such problems).
Cleanliness here has taken a turn for the worse – there are lots of hairballs, and the floors on the stairs to pool can get grotty.
