Important Notice Please Read - CLICK HERE

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the more than 20,000+ facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times; we cannot tell you about the availability and cost of swimming lessons; we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their access policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include email addresses and hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in each listing is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editors become aware of a change but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about three years to complete; in many places, prices will change two or three times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. Please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with your area and visiting for the first time.

To our English users: For reasons described in the FAQ, county names shown the listings in England are the cities' and towns' historic counties, not necessarily the counties they are assigned to now.

Facility Notes

Stanford Masters Swimming has an excellent page on the etiquette of a Masters swimmer visiting another Masters club. The page is Stanford Masters Swim Away From Home. If you'll be visiting Stanford, you'll want to read it before you go.

Facility Reviews

Not open to the public, but a great Masters' team with plenty of workouts. Impeccably clean and the water temperature is usually perfect.
Two great outdoor pools and grounds as noted above, the pools seem chlorine-free and may use bromine. OK locker area, no other goodies like sauna. Not really good about checking IDs. [May no longer be true. Eds.] Masters team contact may get you in.
Some say one needs to see Paris before dying; I say swimming in one of the Averys has to be on that same list.
