Facility Reviews
I tried to swim here on a March Wednesday at 5 PM. The high school swim team practices here weekdays 3:30 to 7 PM. Only three lanes were set aside for the public and there was one person in each already. I decided not to swim that day. The staff was very friendly. The pool is 25 meters most of the time and is 50 meters on Tuesday and Thursdays for a few hours; see the schedule on the pool’s website.

This is a very nice pool, with clean, pH-balanced water. The general feel of the facility is like a small club or summer camp; the other people swimming here are friendly, too, with none of that “I’m not sharing my lane” attitude; maybe that’s because San Diego has a more-relaxed vibe?
There are two outside showers (the ones that look like a pole and have four shower heads); the indoor showers (in the locker room) are quite large.
