Facility Notes
The facility also has a Facebook page.
After multiple delays in opening this new €40 million swimming center, it finally reopened on April 2, 2022. Unfortunately, they neglected to publish the pool's telephone number on its website (we're showing the number from its Facebook page) .
Pool 2 is reserved for schools and clubs, and is not accessible to the general public.
Summertime visitors to Konstanz will want to know about the 50-meter Bodensee Therme, which was bubbled in winter while the Schwaketenbad was being renovated, but has reverted to summer-only operations, now.
Facility Reviews
This pool is still brand new, having opened in April 2022 after the old Schwaketenbad in the same location burned down in 2015.
The facility itself is very nice and great for families, but I’d try and come when it’s not busy. There was only one very crowded lane for faster swimmers. Another pair of lanes was set aside for (slow) circle swimming while the remaining half of the pool had no lane dividers, which means constantly watching for other swimmers on all sides.
On the upside, schools and clubs have their own 25m pool, so there’s no need to check a pool schedule.
