Facility Reviews
Free parking. The admission price is a better deal during public times, but only two lanes reserved for lap swimming then. There are MUCH fewer people at other times, with additional lanes, but at more than twice the price. Adjacent hot tub. Clean facility. Extra clean pool. Downside: lifeguard did NOT watch lap lanes, allowing kids to cross over, etc. I made it during public times, with a few collisions along the way. Maybe the extra price was worth it during "non-member hours", just for the serenity of swimming without collisions.
I swam here on a Sunday morning around 7 and a Tuesday morning around 7:30, both times there were a fair number of people despite the relatively early hour. The swimmers shared lanes without an issue. It's a little hard to find the pool up in the Banff Centre, but it's there.

Its a really nice venue, pristine clean, good showers, supervised lap swimming. I went at 5 PM on a Thursday and had the place to myself!

I swam every morning during lap hours. The lap lanes are super-subtle, marked by tiles that are almost the same color. It was not too crowded during the morning lap swim times. The water temperature is perfect and there are plenty of kickboards, pull buoys, etc. It was great.
I didn’t use a lock and my stuff was fine - but I was a hotel guest, so I had only my keycard to worry about.
The visit was worth it for the panoramic views of Sulphur Mountain.
