Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the more than 20,000+ facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times; we cannot tell you about the availability and cost of swimming lessons; we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their access policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include email addresses and hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in each listing is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editors become aware of a change but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about three years to complete; in many places, prices will change two or three times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. Please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with your area and visiting for the first time.

To our English users: For reasons described in the FAQ, county names shown the listings in England are the cities' and towns' historic counties, not necessarily the counties they are assigned to now.

Facility Notes

There had been some debate about the length of this pool; we have confirmed with the club and have had further confirmation from swimmers that it is, indeed, 25-yards long, but may appear shorter due to the small room it’s located in.
This facility was formerly listed as Bert's Conditioning Clinic, then Club One at Union Square.

Facility Reviews

Pretty good pool. Not too warm, not terribly crowded early in the day.
Not a bad pool, but they require you "schedule" your lap time in increments of 1 hour. People here don't like sharing lanes. The pool is somewhat on the cold side, but not too bad.
Very clean and friendly. Reservations for a lane can be made, which is a nice feature when traveling.
Very welcoming to guests, very clean. Nice place.
Swimmers must schedule lap time in half-hour or one hour segments and they allow only two people per lane. The staff at club are really great.

I had a lane to myself for the most part but then ended up sharing. I'd come back here. The water was clean and just the right temperature - maybe a bit warm for a hard workout. The reservation ensures you at least get half a lane. Decent locker rooms with key for your stuff. Towels are available. You must wear a swim cap but can buy on site, if you don't have one.
[April, 2015]
Overall: An excellent facility. Booking a lane by phone is easy and ensures that you will have a quality lap swim. The club has great locker rooms - with complimentary lockers, robes, and other facilities. Swim caps are required and are available at the club for $5.00. You can also get a seven-day pass for $45.00.

The club is conveniently located. It's not a very new pool but it opens early in the morning and has a 7-day pass for $45, which is ideal if you're spending a week in San Francisco.

It is recommended to book a line in advance.
