Facility Notes
Right next door are athletic running tracks; 3km, 5.5km, and 10km jogging trails marked every kilometer (just follow the "Helsana Trail" signs); badminton, basketball, football, etc., etc.
After an extended closure, the facility reopened in December, 2016, with a new, 50-meter pool and now lays claim to being the largest swimming facility in Switzerland.
Facility Reviews
I grew up in Uster and it's a very nice pool. Everybody is welcome there.
The water quality is excellent with literally no odor. The facilities are exceptionally clean. Bottom line - a real pool for swimmers, not bathers. Buchholz is home to Switzerland's most successful swimming club, SCU, so it can get quite busy in the evenings.
After renovation and expansion, Uster has got a new, 50m, 10-lane pool. Four lanes are always reserved for public lap swimming. Recreational activities take place in the original part of the complex (the 25m and 20m pools). It is Switzerland's largest pool.
