Facility Reviews
As with most Japanese swimming pools, this is a clean and welcoming facility. Staff is very friendly, but does not speak English. You have to buy a ticket at the vending machine in the entrance (if you need help, ask for Oyogu [swimming]), and give your ticket to a staff member before you start swimming. When I was there on a Tuesday at 11AM, only two lanes were available for lap swimming. One part of the pool was for water walking (a popular activity in Japanese pools), and several lanes were occupied by a swim club. Serious swimming was difficult, as the two lanes were slightly crowded, and the water temperature was - as is almost always the case in Japan - very warm. [October, 2014]
