Facility Reviews
One of the only Paris public pools that's open on Mondays. The Piscine has a bodybuilding room and is built over the Seine River, with a glass room which can be opened during summer. Staff is nice and friendly but… there's a serious lack of cleanliness. Lockers room and bathroom smelly, thick balls of hairs everywhere - in the pool, showers … really a pity, the place is nice and different.
Make sure you follow all the rules: Men and boys must wear Speedo-type swimwear; when I was there a family was turned away because the kids had boardshorts. Ensure you have a swimming cap. I got chipped for wearing flip-flops in the women's change room, as they "may bring in dirt" - but the floor was none too clean anyway.
The pool itself was okay for a lap swim, but be aware there will be more than a few slowpokes - those particular swim-without-getting-a-hair-out-of-place breastroking ladies; you may need to accommodate them. Lane discipline was not a high point!
The entrance staff were friendly.

On weekday mornings, the pool is open from 7 to 8:30 or 9 AM, depending on the season. There are very few lanes; they were very busy; and the swimmers were polite. Bring a €1 coin for lockers. The pool is filthy. It was a a cool experience to swim on the Seine, but I won't be back.

I had a great experience at this pool. The water was clean but warm; if you're planning a vigorous workout, it might be too warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool has only four lap lanes, so its small, but the facilities were great and it was cool to swim over the Seine in the winter!
