Facility Notes
There is also a shallow kids’ pool connected to the main pool, it varies from ~1f to ~3f depth. There is a large hot tub in the pool area and steam rooms in the changing areas. The pool is usually divided into a 2 or 3 lane, lane swimming section (fast/medium/slow), with the rest used for public swim and classes. The change rooms have full-size lockers (bring your own lock). The pool’s schedule is posted on the website (link above).
Facility Reviews
This is a very nice, clean, low-use facility very close to downtown area and within walking distance to many hotels. The staff is friendly, the pool and change rooms are very clean, and lockers are always available.
There is little lane swimming on weekends but there's lots on the week-days. The schedule is different every day so be sure to check the schedule online. During mid-morning swims there are typically three double lanes. I often have my own lane. At noon it picks up to two or three people per double lane and lifeguards have told me that early morning swims might see ten people in the pool.
Kickboards and other training devices are available. Locks and towels are available to rent if you forget your own.
It was very nice to find this place after 30 years swimming in other pools in Edmonton.
