Facility Reviews
This is a convenient, though somewhat crowded, and chaotic 25m pool. It seems to be mainly geared towards water aerobics and walking, though there usually seem to be at least one or two lanes available for lap swimming.
When I visited, a few lanes had been combined to make one, large, undivided lane for lap swimming. There didn’t seem to be any organization, and no one was circle swimming—everyone would just swim one length, turn around, and then swim back without trying to run into someone. Needless to say, there were a few collisions
Overall, besides the chaos, the pool wasn’t too bad. The temperature was great, and the staff was friendly. The pool appeared clean, though the water was a little cloudy.
When you arrive at the facility, you’re required to take your shoes off before entering the building. You then purchase a ticket from the vending machine by the front door (cash only). The staff at the front desk are helpful and guide you if you’re not sure what to do. Once you get the ticket, you can then get a locker for a nonrefundable ¥50. Swim caps are required, and no personal items (including water bottles) are allowed by the poolside.
