Facility Notes
Facility Reviews
The pool is open from mid-September to mid-May and is unheated. Because it's not covered at night and is shallow, the water does get cold at the beginning and end of the season.

Swimmers and staff are friendly and welcoming, and the pool is clean. There are a number of kickboards available for use, but only one swim buoy, which goes quickly. The pool gets crowded in the morning from 6 AM on days when the Masters swim squad uses two lanes, and from 6:30 or 7:00 AM on other days.
Located at the beach; many swimmers prefer to swim in the ocean when it's calm and the pool when it isn't, so expect the pool to be more crowded on days when the surf is rougher.
Byron Bay is an Australian beach town; shirts, shoes, and shorts are optional. Feel free to go to or from the pool in just a swimsuit if you like. There's an attached restaurant that gets very busy in the evenings.
