Facility Reviews
This is a very modern building on a green field site still only 15 minutes' walk from the main rail station, albeit away from the town centre. You can cut through the station to get to the right side of town.
Entry is €5.20. You scan your ticket on the gates to the right of the cash desk. Go through the right hand turnstile. The access to the pools is through double ended changing cubicles which you lock by folding the bench into place. Lockers take a 50 cent deposit.
There are three pools: a play pool with a slide, a 25 metre inside pool with eight lanes, and an outdoor pool. The indoor pool had closed when I arrived at 1 PM on Saturday. If you don't speak Dutch I think the easiest way to check the hours is probably to phone, as the staff speak English.
Swimming out of doors was no hardship in July. The pool has three or four 25 metre lanes marked on the floor though, as there are no ropes, progress is rarely entirely straightforward. There are deck chairs and a poolside cafe.
A highlight of my visit was the restaurant in the complex which is stylish and efficient. I ate at a reduced price with a voucher I got in the foyer and it was excellent. Indeed, if you are going to award a best food prize, I am happy to nominate this place.
