Facility Reviews
The pool is nice and kept at a good temperature for swimming laps. Deck space is very limited - it was definitely not built for large meets. Kickboards and pull-buoys are available for public use. The lane lines were oddly loose, which resulted in more wake than you'd expect from a big 50 meter pool. The locker rooms are nice since the building is new - bring your own lock.
This is a new facility that may still be getting its policies and structure in place. Lap swimming here was a bit chaotic with no use or speed designation. There were open swim areas on either side of lap lanes with children crossing over the lap lanes. Several lanes were occupied by people lounging at end of lane while children played in the open area. There was little or no direction or correction from life guards. The lack of structure and direction at this pool is very different from other Northern VA pools.
