Facility Notes
There is also a 25y, 5 lane, outdoor, pool; it's heated to 84ºF and open from May through October. The pool is striped for five lanes, but one lane extends into a children's pool, rendering that lane useless for laps. For all practical purposes, it's a four lane tank.
The hotel and athletic club share the facilities but have separate websites. The one shown above is for the hotel; the athletic club's website is HERE. The club also has a Facebook page.
Facility Reviews
The pool is 25 yards x 5 lanes, striped, targeted, set-up with anti-turbulence lane ropes, and has a reasonable supply of boards and buoys. There is a smaller recreational/therapy section on the other side of a bulkhead for lessons and general splashing. The facility is huge, gorgeous, new, with every conceivable amenity. The locker rooms are outstanding (lockers have electronic locks). There is a sizable hot tub built in on the pool deck, along with ample seating/chaise if you're not swimming. Lifeguards were on duty. The Club publishes a detailed lane map that makes it very clear what lanes are open for laps each hour.
I swam on a Saturday and Sunday morning, when there were three lanes open for laps, and had to split the lane for awhile; but there were no other issues and good lane etiquette was maintained.
My only gripe would be that, while high ceilings and very tasteful decor and design make this a very pleasant environment, there are no windows, so it's a bit of a bunker. The club is always busy, but doesn't seem crowded.
