Facility Reviews
The pool is clean, a good temperature for laps, and well-located around the corner from a Velib station. On a Wednesday mid-morning, one lane was for laps, one for a lesson, and the rest of the pool for open swimming. It was a bit crowded with poor etiquette, and is usually like that according to the attendant, who was very friendly. Not a bad choice if you are in Montmartre.
At 10 AM on a Sunday, the pool was a circus. There were two lanes for lap swimming with no speed segregation, little etiquette, and 10 - 14 swimmers per lane over the course of an hour. Total mayhem! A regular I chatted with said she usually tries to go before 10 AM, when it's a little less crowded.
At 3:30 PM on a Wednesday, it was slightly less crowded (only 7 - 8 swimmers per lane), but the rest was the same. Don't expect to do flip turns or any kind of real workout.
Otherwise, this is a lovely pool. The water is cool and clear, the attendants are friendly, and there are pull buoys and kickboards available poolside. You get a private, locked cubicle in which to change and leave stuff, and the attendants open it for you when you're done.
