Facility Reviews
I had an early afternoon swim on a Tuesday in early September. The staff was not very friendly and nobody speaks English. The facilities are old-looking, and the changing room and showers are run down.
The inside pool was not in use (no lanes) until I left, at around 3 PM. The outside, 50-metre pool was heated at around 28º. The water was filthy and only lanes 1 and 8 were available to the public (lanes 2 to 7 are reserved for various clubs throughout the day). I asked to borrow a kick board to no avail. There was no swimming discipline, but it's arguably hard to have, with only two lanes open to the public.
I was told to wait 15 minutes before going in, probably due to hygiene measures. I think one of the guards asked me to leave after an hour and a half (he tapped on his watch), but i kept swimming anyway.
It was a disappointing experience.
