Facility Notes
Although striped for four lanes, the pool is usually divided into three sections of unequal width: One is about 1m to 1.5m wide, it is used mostly by schools and has a staircase entry at one end; the second is about 4m wide; and the third about 7m wide. The third section is further subdivided by a rope across its width that divides it into a 4m long, shallow, non-swimmer area, and a larger open area.
Any of the lanes can be used for swimming laps and it is common for swimmers to dodge the rope across the largest section. None of the lanes is speed-designated.

Facility Reviews
Built in 1911, modernized in 1957, and renovated in 1983-84, this is one of four classic baths of the empire period in Berlin. During the modernization and renovations, they retained a down-to-earth minimal design, which impresses with its huge barrel-shaped ceiling.
Although the pool was constructed for Prussian gymnastics instructors at the time, it is not a sports pool today.
The changing cabins are arranged around the pool and partly on a balustrade. It's a pity that the doors are now white plastic and the tiles mostly white.
It seems to be not very popular and was rather empty when I was there.
