Facility Reviews
This is an excellent pool. There's good lane swimming availability (slow, medium and fast lanes) and long opening hours, including a few early bird swims. Nice facilities and friendly, helpful staff.

Swimming facilities at the NSC comprise two 25m pools plus a children's leisure pool with water slides. The 25m pools are side by side, one has three lanes and the other four lanes. During the early morning sessions, the small pool is always laned, the other may have one lane rope. The water temperature is well maintained at around 28.2º - 28.4º C. Proper wave suppression barriers are used making the water smooth and a pleasure to swim in. There are usually small numbers, lane discipline is good, and, in keeping with the rest of the Isle, staff and fellow swimmers are friendly. The centre is large, light and airy.
By UK public leisure standards it is an excellent facility in very good condition, with little to detract (other than some algae growth on the pool sides). Nevertheless management have decided that after 20 years the facility is due a facelift and is expected to close for circa 8 months from around August, 2018. Managers of other public UK leisure centres - please take a cue!
