Facility Reviews
The bottom is sand so it doesn't have the sea lice problem that nearby Merewether Ocean Baths has. The sand can stir up after a busy day, giving a very murky look. Early morning is OK unless there are waves coming over. The sand bottom also makes itpopular with people who exercise by walking in the water. The water can be up to 2º cooler than the ocean, as the water is pumped from some depth. It can get down to 12º, but 16º is a more typical winter temperature.
